Reporting Abusive Behaviour

Postby Kadarn » Fri Jul 03, 2009 4:47 pm

If you witness someone being offensive or in any other way abusing the rules in game, you can report them by pressing F11 on your keyboard. This then creates a log of the player's recent chat, and continues to log it for the next two minutes. It will then store this chat until you submit a ticket.

If you are in the lifestyle world, you will be shown a pop up asking if you wish to submit an abuse report by sending a ticket. You can then be directed to the website where you can raise a ticket and report the abuse. This, combined with the chat log will allow Customer Support to investigate and take any appropriate action.

If you are in a match, you can still press F11 and it will also record the chat, however it willl not create a pop-up, which would disrupt your match. Once the match ends you can then submit the ticket.

This tool is solely for the reporting of abusive behaviour. If it is abused in any way such as repeatedly reporting people when there was no abuse present, then you run the risk of action being taken against your account. The report abuse feature allows CS to deal with offensive and disruptive players swiftly and efficiently. Abusing the feature makes this harder.

Please use it responsibly and help to keep the game a safe and pleasant.

Reporting, Investigation and Results:

- Feel free to report any player but please keep in mind that we CAN NOT disclose the outcome of any kind of investigation due the privacy of each account. We don't share any details of an account with another user.

- Do not submit a support ticket and directly request a ban. As stated above "We will deal with the player reported depending on the nature of the offence. We will decide this on a case by case basis."

Gameplay related reports:

- You are free to report a player who is exploiting game mechanics, however, unless it's considered "Cheating" we don't punish a player for exploiting. The leagues/tournaments who have their own rules are managed by league administrators and you should read and understand the rules before signing-up.

- Griefing is taken very seriously and the player who is found to be irritating other players on a regular basis will be temporarily/permanently suspended from the game.

As of Jan 1st, 2017

Gameplay Abuse - Griefing ** Additional Penalties

If you have been reported for gameplay abuse/griefing, it will be investigated by our gameplay abuse department. In case of griefing, penalties will range from "temporary account ban" to "match fitness reset" and "Level/XP penalty". In most extreme cases (scoring own goals on purpose, giving away penalties on purpose etc.) we will apply the Level/XP penalty and your character will lose XP. (e.g. if your character is level 100, after the XP penalty it will be 95). Repeated cases of gameplay abuse/griefing will result in a permanent ban.
"Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."
